Wanda starts to lose control in episode 5 of 'Wandavision'

In this week's episode titled 'On a Very Special Episode' we get a whole lot of information so make sure you are paying attention to the details. Now that we have seen both sides of the wall in episode 4, we are going to be going back and forth from the TV world and the reality world. Monica is now out and trying to explain what it's like inside the Hex (thank you Darcy for giving it a name). Tyler Hayward (the director of SWORD) is falling in line for what we have seen from past directors outside of Fury. He is acting first and not listening to anyone else's input. Cough cough Monica. Cough cough.

Having live inside that world for three episodes, Monica feels she understands Wanda. Tyler wants to see Wanda as a terrorist. And considering how she stole Vision's body, it's easy to see where he gets that idea. But not listening to Monica's idea, he is going to make this problem a whole lot more complicated. Monica (like everyone else in the world) believes that Wanda is just grieving from everything that has happened in the last ten years of the Marvel Universe movies. Monica also gets a reminder from a familiar face as Monica states that Wanda is powerful enough to have taken out Thanos if she could control her powers, and Jimmy mentions Captain Marvel almost took him out too. Captain Marvel and Monica go way back and I wouldn't be surprised if we see more references to her as we explore this character.

As a side note, the commercial is once again contributed to something traumatic that happened to Wanda. This one is a lot more obvious. The product is for a paper towel called Lagos. Don't remember this? It's from Captain America: Civil War. At the beginning, in an attempt to save the hundreds of people on the ground, she tries to throw an explosion in the air, but doesn't send it far enough so people still die. It ends with the tagline "For when you make a mess but didn't mean to".

Not only is Wanda losing control of her people inside Westview (kind of reminds of me when I play the Sims and they just go off and do what they want. Like do what I tell you to do), she is fighting off SWORD as they keep trying to break in. The biggest fight she has is with Vision where his computer brain is finally hitting the 80's so that means it's finally evolved enough to understand that something fishy is going on. Vision gets an e-mail at work from SWORD warning him and he breaks through to Norm and sees that he's in pain and that he is missing his family in the reality world. Vision confronts Wanda and she is angry that she cannot control him like she can control everyone else.

The show ends with a big spoiler! So if you don't want to know what it is, please stop reading. Normally, I wouldn't put it in, but Darcy had an amazing line in response and it needs to be noted.

So as the show is coming to an end, Wanda is trying to fight off Vision's questioning when the doorbell rings. And who is there? But her brother Pietro. But it's the X-Men: Days of Future Past Pietro (ie Evan Peters). I have no problem with Peters as Pietro, but it is technically not of the Marvel Cinema Universe. Yes, Disney did just by the rights back, but I mean is this because Aaron Taylor-Johnson was not available? And yes leave it to Darcy to come up with the perfect line, "Oh it looks like Pietro is back and he's been recast". Could this be the start of Marvel slowly merging the two world?

What did you think of the show?

Wanda is struggling to keep control in episode 7 of 'WandaVision'

If you are not already hooked on Marvel’s new TV show on Disney+ WandaVision then this week’s episode will certainly have you hook, line, and sinker. This week’s show is titled ‘Breaking the Fourth Wall’ and in some ways it breaks more walls then that. The show hits the 2000s and Modern Family seems to be the theme with some splashes of other sitcoms from the 2000s. I really enjoyed the commentary that Wanda and Vision have when they are talking to the camera. The glances and the 'knowing stare' from Vision are completely spot on.  Like the other episodes, this one is jam-packed with information so you need to make sure you are paying attention. Wanda is slowly but surely losing control of the Hex. The kids are noticing this and want to help but Wanda just thinks relaxing will help (not likely). In the reality part of the show, we discover that Hayward is trying to get Vision back so he can use him as a weapon (no surprise there). Monica and Jimmy meet with her friend (...

This loss of focus now puts Piper in the hands of a twisted nemesis, and The Devil’s Dust Motorcycle Club is not just falling apart because of it, it’s losing members faster than t...

Review: 'Dominik' by Sawyer Bennett - Can Dominik tame Willow's wild heart?

In the 6th book of the series, Dominik takes the lead as he tries to get Willow out of his thoughts, but that proves more difficult the more time he spends with her. Willow doesn't want to tie herself down to this man, but the more she fights, the harder she falls. When you do book series like this, it's hard to like every single one. Especially when you unintentionally compare the books with one another. I had a hard time liking the relationship with Dominik and Willow. Perhaps its that we didn't really get to see the beginning (you hear about it in other books) or maybe I just didn't like the way that they are together. It just didn't tickle my fancy. They didn't have that 'it' factor that separates the story from others. I did enjoy the cat and mouse game that Willow was playing with Dominik. That part was entertaining. See a man of Dominik stature get frustrated and make moves that I am sure are out of his character. But even that got old aft...
