This book is a sequel to 'The Simple Wild' and has Calla rushing back to Alaska to be with Jonah after he makes a grand gesture to ask her to move back to Alaska with him. Jonah is Alaska. It's obvious that while he states that he would go back to civilization for Calla, it's not something that he would love.
