'The Mandalorian' - Episode 5 - 'The Gunslinger'

With TM escaping the Giant and the life that he could lead, he is back on the run with The Child. He gets to a new planet hoping to find solace while he gets his ship fixed, but instead finds a new rival who is looking to get his name in the game of bounty hunting.

Toro (Jake Cannavale, TV's Nurse Jackie) is obviously a distraction to TM and he doesn't trust him as far as he can throw him, but he needs him. TM is good at knowing when to tie up loose ends and it's only a matter of time before Toro gets a first-hand lesson.

Class is in session.

Toro and TM go on an adventure to go look for parts and money for TM to get his ship fixed. While out there is someone hunting him (shocking right?). Normally, this would cause me to roll my eyes and just move on. But guess who the sniper is? None other then the woman who has not aged in thirty years, Ming-Na Wen (TV's, Agent's of SHIELD). If you haven't seen her in action, then turn on SHIELD for the first season and behold the amazingness of her.

Toro gets a lesson from TM as they are able to take over Fennec (Wen) and she tries to use her logic to overtake Toro but instead SHE gets schooled! That was quite shocking but not at the same time. It's a dog-eat-dog world in the bounty hunting world and it wasn't surprising the Toro took her words and then took it out on her.

His victory is short-lived.

While he thinks he has upper hand on Toro, he quickly sees that TM is not one to be taken advantage of and no matter how good you are, he is so much better.

With the short appearance of Ming-Na Wen she has completed the Disney trifecta. The first person (let alone a woman and of a minority in Hollywood) to complete this. What is this you ask? Well the Disney trifecta is a person who has been a Disney animated film character, a Marvel character, and a Star Wars character. Go ahead try to think of someone else? There are a lot that are close (Samuel L. Jackson will complete it when Soul comes out, but Ming-Na is the first one for all three to be released). Wen voiced Mulan, played Melinda Mey in Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, and finally played Fennec Shand in this episode of The Mandalorian

Congratulations Ming-Na Wen!

Wanda is struggling to keep control in episode 7 of 'WandaVision'

If you are not already hooked on Marvel’s new TV show on Disney+ WandaVision then this week’s episode will certainly have you hook, line, and sinker. This week’s show is titled ‘Breaking the Fourth Wall’ and in some ways it breaks more walls then that. The show hits the 2000s and Modern Family seems to be the theme with some splashes of other sitcoms from the 2000s. I really enjoyed the commentary that Wanda and Vision have when they are talking to the camera. The glances and the 'knowing stare' from Vision are completely spot on.  Like the other episodes, this one is jam-packed with information so you need to make sure you are paying attention. Wanda is slowly but surely losing control of the Hex. The kids are noticing this and want to help but Wanda just thinks relaxing will help (not likely). In the reality part of the show, we discover that Hayward is trying to get Vision back so he can use him as a weapon (no surprise there). Monica and Jimmy meet with her friend (...

Saint and Piper made one of the worst mistakes you could make in their world and now Saint has to pray that mistake won’t be deadly.  The two of them got so lost in the idea of moving through their past together that they missed the worst betrayal in the depths of their clubhouse. The one place that is sacred, because at the club they are not just friends they are family. This loss of focus now puts Piper in the hands of a twisted nemesis, and The Devil’s Dust Motorcycle Club is not just falling apart because of it, it’s losing members faster than t...

Review: 'Dominik' by Sawyer Bennett - Can Dominik tame Willow's wild heart?

In the 6th book of the series, Dominik takes the lead as he tries to get Willow out of his thoughts, but that proves more difficult the more time he spends with her. Willow doesn't want to tie herself down to this man, but the more she fights, the harder she falls. When you do book series like this, it's hard to like every single one. Especially when you unintentionally compare the books with one another. I had a hard time liking the relationship with Dominik and Willow. Perhaps its that we didn't really get to see the beginning (you hear about it in other books) or maybe I just didn't like the way that they are together. It just didn't tickle my fancy. They didn't have that 'it' factor that separates the story from others. I did enjoy the cat and mouse game that Willow was playing with Dominik. That part was entertaining. See a man of Dominik stature get frustrated and make moves that I am sure are out of his character. But even that got old aft...
