The Sinful King, a new, sexy, 100% stand-alone novel by New York Times bestselling author, Claire Contreras.
If you had any ties to Marbella, it was impossible for you not to have heard the stories about Prince Elias and his debauchery.
Every summer he arrived with his security detail and friends in tow and rented out a row of cottages near the water.
Cottages that belonged to my family.
Each of those summers, my parents sent me away – summer camp and later, boarding school. Anything to keep me away from the royals and their partying.
I hadn’t been home in years, but when I finally come back for the summer, I see that not much has changed. Like all the summers I’d been gone, Prince Elias is back, but this time with an incognito security detail and no friends. This time, there is no partying, no noise, no crowds. No reason at all to even think he was there.
I’m given strict orders not to talk to him, not to even look in his direction, but he makes this an impossible task. I may be doing everything in my power to stay away from him, but there is no one in the world who can say no to the future King of France.

Review

In this latest book, Adeline is the kind of girl that follows the rules but when it comes to Prince Elias, all that goes out the window.

It's a different kind of story from Contreras. She touches on royalty and the relationships that are formed and how they are treated with the 'commoners'. Adeline doesn't treat Elias different and of course he would find that refreshing.

The beginning was tough for me to get past. *****spoiler aleart here*****
I just thought it was a bit far fetched for my liking as she just decides after meeting this guy for ten minutes to just give him her virginity. Then of course after their time together changes everything for Elias and he of course wants to change everything for the girl.

I usually really enjoy Contreras's books. She is always able to write a captivating story with very interesting characters, but this one was hard for me to get into. There are parts that I did enjoy reading, but there was some effort to try and get through parts of it. Adeline's character was fun and I always love it when the heroine is able to 'stick it' to the male lead.

Excerpt:
“You’re nervous.”
“I am.” I swallowed.
“I don’t normally do this.”
“That’s okay.” His lips formed a slow smile. “We’ll take it slow.”
“Should . . . should I take my mask off?” I whispered.
“Do you want to?”
“Are you going to take yours off?”
“Do you want me to?”
“Yes.” I let out a shuddering breath. “I think we should.”
He didn’t hesitate. His mask came off immediately, and even though I couldn’t fully see him, I could fully appreciate his gorgeousness. He must have been a model. Or an actor. Or something. My rapid thought process reminded me of something.
“I don’t even know your name.”
“I don’t know yours.”
“That doesn’t bother you?” I felt my eyebrows pull in.
"You’re leaving to another country tomorrow. Does it make a difference? Will it stop you from doing this?”
“No.” I pulled the mask over my head and tossed it aside. “You’re beautiful.” The tips of his fingers caressed my cheek, my lips.
“You can barely see me.”
“And yet, I know you’re beautiful.”
He brought his lips to mine then and kissed me. My breath hitched. I brought my hands up to his face and kissed him back, parting my lips to make way for his tongue to dance with mine as my entire body came alive. His kiss was electric, his touch an awakening as his hands made their way down my body, unzipping my dress and letting it pool at our feet. He touched my naked breasts and explored my hips, stopping at the elastic of my panties. I undid his bow-tie and unbuttoned the white dress shirt he had on, my fingers fumbling on a few. When I reached his belt and undid it, I paused, breathing heavily as he broke the kiss.
“You okay?” The tip of his nose touched mine.
“Better than okay.”
“We can stop any time you’d like.”
“I don’t want to stop.” I continued working on his pants until they met the same fate as my dress, and then we stood there, chest to chest, in the middle of a darkened room, with only our underwear on. “Do you want to stop?”
“Never.”

Wanda is struggling to keep control in episode 7 of 'WandaVision'

If you are not already hooked on Marvel’s new TV show on Disney+ WandaVision then this week’s episode will certainly have you hook, line, and sinker. This week’s show is titled ‘Breaking the Fourth Wall’ and in some ways it breaks more walls then that. The show hits the 2000s and Modern Family seems to be the theme with some splashes of other sitcoms from the 2000s. I really enjoyed the commentary that Wanda and Vision have when they are talking to the camera. The glances and the 'knowing stare' from Vision are completely spot on.  Like the other episodes, this one is jam-packed with information so you need to make sure you are paying attention. Wanda is slowly but surely losing control of the Hex. The kids are noticing this and want to help but Wanda just thinks relaxing will help (not likely). In the reality part of the show, we discover that Hayward is trying to get Vision back so he can use him as a weapon (no surprise there). Monica and Jimmy meet with her friend (...

'The Mandalorian' - Episode 4 - Sanctuary

We return back to TM trying to escape the war that he started in the last episode. Right out of the gate we get a iconic fight in outer space. Of course, the guy (assuming he is a bounty hunter? also, since when is there a million bounty hunters) is no match for TM as he gets away. But now needs a place to hide. He thinks he finds the perfect spot. To bad they are being attacked by giants and his minions. So what is a man to do. Take down the giant with the help of Cara (Gina Carona who is the amazing Angel Dust in Deadpool) and yes she did do the superhero landing and it was amazing. They team up together to take down the bad guys so that The Child can have a safe place to grow up.  The big idea to take out of the show is that TM is breaking more barriers with his code of honor for the job. It looks like The Child woke something inside of TM and he is now even thinking about taking the helmet off. GASP! While it doesn't work out in this episode, it does set up the ...
