Sneak Peek

The light flickers on, stirring me awake. Sitting up, I glance at the door, finding Candy humming, a tight-lipped smile on her face. She has that look again, the crazy one. I can’t help but notice she’s only in a bra and thong.  She continues to hum, moving about the room as if she’s floating. 
“What time is it?” I groan.
Ignoring me, she walks to me and takes me by the hand.
“Stand,” she instructs with a motherly tone. Her eyes dilated. Did she go smoke some crack or is she just naturally this hot and cold?
“Why?” Butterflies fill my stomach, I’m afraid of her when she’s like this. She’s unpredictable. Why is she in here?
Her Loony Tune face falls, her bottom lip waggling as if I just insulted her.
“Stacks!” she screams at the top of her lungs, making my ears ring. I cover my ears.
Within seconds, Stacks is in the doorway with only a pair of briefs on.
Sleep heavy in his eyes, he rubs them.
“What?” he grunts, squinting at Candy.
“Make her sit over there.” She points to the wall away from the bed. There’s nothing there, just a wall and floor. Stacks marches into the room and snatches me by the hand.
“Get off me!” I scream, I slap his hand away, and he groans with anger. He tugs me hard, and I throw my fist in his chest. My hostile blow doing nothing as I’m dragged off the bed and sat on the floor like a disobedient child.
Tears fill my eyes, my hands on the floor, I dig my nails into the wood.
“What are you doing?” I can’t help but cry.
Candy continues to hum, sitting on the floor next to me like we’re best friends. I push my back up against the wall to get as far away as I can. She’s insane. Everyone in this house is fucking nuts.
She jerks up my shirt and starts rubbing her palms around my little bump as if it’s a crystal ball. I feel violated, as if she’s taking something that’s mine. What if my baby begins hearing at this very second, it will hear her first? Will the baby think she’s the mom?
“Please don’t,” I sob, shoving her away. She pushes both of my hands down by my side and lays her head on my belly, humming a lullaby I can’t place.
“Stop it!” I scream, trying to wiggle out from under her.
“Stay!” Stacks points at me, his booming voice scaring me still.
“This is my baby!” I cry, tears falling down my face.
Candy turns her head on my belly, smiling at Stacks.
“You’re going to be such a good daddy,” she purrs.  
He chuckles, rubbing his chin. “I can’t wait, baby.”

M.N. Forgy was raised in Missouri where she still lives with her family. She's a soccer mom by day and a saucy writer by night. M.N. Forgy started writing at a young age but never took it seriously until years later, as a stay-at-home mom, she opened her laptop and started writing again. As a role model for her children, she felt she couldn't live with the "what if" anymore and finally took a chance on her character's story. Wanda is struggling to keep control in episode 7 of 'WandaVision'

  If you are not already hooked on Marvel’s new TV show on Disney+ WandaVision then this week’s episode will certainly have you hook, line, and sinker. This week’s show is titled ‘Breaking the Fourth Wall’ and in some ways it breaks more walls then that. The show hits the 2000s and Modern Family seems to be the theme with some splashes of other sitcoms from the 2000s. I really enjoyed the commentary that Wanda and Vision have when they are talking to the camera. The glances and the 'knowing stare' from Vision are completely spot on.  Like the other episodes, this one is jam-packed with information so you need to make sure you are paying attention. Wanda is slowly but surely losing control of the Hex. The kids are noticing this and want to help but Wanda just thinks relaxing will help (not likely). Bucky and Sam try to deal with a new Captain America in 'The Falcon and Winter Soldier' episode 2

In this week's episode, titled 'The Star-Spangled Man', John Walker is taking over for Steve Rogers as Captain America and is adjusting to what that role means for America. In the meantime, Sam is continuing to try and take down the Flag Smashers, now with Bucky in tow. But these Smashers are not typical human, but an army of super soldiers, something that Bucky is very familiar with. Walker tries to join in the fight, but Sam and Bucky want nothing to do with him.  Bucky is having a hard time seeing someone else yield the shield. Sam doesn't like it either, but he understand that he made a choice and he has to live with the consequences. Captain America, Walker, seems like he would fit the bill on the surface. He seems like a carbon copy of Steve Rogers, but it's not until we get towards the end of the show that we see a darker side of Walker.  We get to see more of the Flag Smashers in this show and see why they are doing what they are doing.
