Review - 'A Favor for a Favor' by Helena Hunting - a fun and enjoyable read as Stevie leaves her brother's shadow
In the 2nd book of the series, it centers on Rooke's sister, Stevie as she tries to recover from the sudden break up with her boyfriend. She moves in across the hall from a man that hates her brother, Bishop, and she is inclined to do the same, until an opportunity presents itself and she finds that she may see more in him.
I really liked the beginning of their relationship. The little competition that they had with their underwear. It was funny, cute, and really dictated how their relationship was going to go. All that boils over when they finally get together and they could just be 'the cutest thing ever' and I didn't think that was possible after reading Rooke's book.
Probably the one thing that I didn't like was Joey (and not because of what he did) and just that whole interaction that he was having with Stevie. I didn't like that it took her so long to finally stand up for herself because on so many levels he was boarderline stalking her and I am pretty sure that she could have gotten a restraining order against him for the things that he was doing.
The story as a whole was fun and entertaining. There wasn't any time when it slowed down or didn't flow. It felt like I was just watching a movie unfold with the audio book that I was listening to. There were times that I didn't like Jacob Morgan's interpretation of Bishop. It just felt like he was just reading the words and not really giving them any kind of emotion for most of the story.
There is a lot of set for other characters and their books and I say this now, I am not going to like Kingston's book because I know that one is going to hurt.
