This is the first movie that Marvel is a part of since Disney purchased 20th Century Fox, movie side. It takes place in the X-Men world and it follows Danielle Moonstar (Blu Hut, CW's The Originals) as she goes to a clinic to try and figure out what her power is and learn how to control it. To be fair to this movie, I hadn't watched a trailer recently or read anything about before going in. I was expecting it to be a superhero movie (ie action, fighting, a wee bit of drama, and probably some romance since it is a teenager movie) and while those things are in there, I didn't expect the horror side to it. No, it's not the slasher type of horror, but there are characters that may still give you nightmares (ie the smiley face man). The story does seem to have a chance to be expanded in more of the universe but I am not sure that fans will be as interested in it. The graphics are what I call fantastical.
