 In this quick story, someone is threatening to take over King's territory and he will not stand for it. Meanwhile, Ray is about to burst and she is struggling with her own demon and whether or not to let King in. The story is a quick look into the lives that we have all come to know and love. The story touches on  a very real issue and i would have liked to have seen this explored a bit more. King, of course, steals the show as the alpha male that we all know that he can be. He does not stand for anyone or anything threatening his family. I liked how he's changed from the first book and how he still has darkness in him, but has lightened since he met Ray. Preppy is of course front and center and once again proves why he is a fan favorite. He understands Ray in a way that King doesn't (much to his dismay) and the way that he is with her is very brotherly.
